THE DIRECT ANSWER

No. Housing, moving and household transition expenses are separate planning costs, not part of the government gift.

Track commitments that outlast a delay

Identify deposits, cancellation terms and other obligations with the relevant providers. Keep those estimates separate from programme and professional charges so the household can see the effect of changed timing. This guide does not recommend a particular property commitment or treat an anticipated immigration result as financial security for one.

Money spent early is the part of a delay that cannot be recovered, so price the delay before it happens. Ask each provider a single question — what does it cost to postpone this by a quarter, and what does it cost to cancel it outright — and record both answers next to the commitment. Hypothetical example: a family selling a roofing systems supply business exchanges contracts on the sale to fund the programme gift and the processing fee, then finds that the timetable it assumed does not hold; the business is gone and the household has no trading income while the case continues.

Note that the processing fee is described as nonrefundable, so it is spent whatever follows. Where a commitment can be made conditional, make it conditional; where it cannot, ask whether it can simply wait. A household that knows the cost of waiting rarely makes the expensive choice by accident.
