Are Gold Card and Platinum interchangeable immigration routes?

THE DIRECT ANSWER

No. The official site describes them separately and identified Platinum as not yet released on 7 September 2026.

Verify the route before assessing eligibility

Ask counsel which available programme the proposed application actually uses and what its conditions are. A waitlist entry does not establish eligibility for permanent residence. Do not combine one programme’s advertised price, another’s tax discussion and a general relocation promise into a single assumed package.

The failure mode is an assessment performed against the wrong programme. Counsel is asked whether the client qualifies, the client is thinking of the route described in a brochure, and the two are not the same, so the answer is accurate and useless. The earliest signal is a discussion in which the programme is referred to only by a generic description.

Name the exact programme in writing at the start of every exchange, and ask counsel to state which one the proposed application actually uses and what its conditions are. Where a route has been described as not yet released, treat its terms as unknown rather than as the terms of the available route. A waitlist entry records an expression of interest and establishes nothing about eligibility for permanent residence.

Record which programme each answer was given about, and keep that note with the advice.
