A licensed U.S. immigration attorney should assess immigration suitability using your circumstances and current law. Financial affordability and tax consequences require their own qualified review.
Avoid an unassigned decision
Ask each adviser to identify what their opinion covers and what remains outside it. A consultant organising documents or a banker arranging funds is not thereby deciding permanent-residence eligibility. Keep the final decision informed by the relevant advice rather than treating any one service provider’s sales proposal as a complete assessment.
The decision belongs to the individual, and the role of advisers is to supply the parts of it that require professional judgement rather than to make it. What should be avoided is the arrangement in which nobody has been asked the central question and everybody assumes somebody else has. Suitability has several components: whether the individual is admissible on their own history, whether the arrangement identifies a classification and an authority for it, whether the financial and tax consequences are acceptable, and whether the commitments involved are ones the individual is willing to make.
Allocate each to a named person, in writing, and ask each of them to say what they are not covering. Note also that no payment resolves a question of admissibility, so that assessment should come early rather than after money has moved.
