TO YOUR NEXT STEP.

Personal support.
A practical plan.
No promises we can’t keep.

01

List the proposed commitments

Write down what you are being asked to sign, pay or promise, and by when. Include employment, business and household decisions attached to the same opportunity.

02

Identify the unanswered claims

Separate written facts from sales statements and informal assurances. Record who made each material claim and what independent information would help you evaluate it.

03

Arrange the right review

Identify immigration questions alongside commercial, financial and contractual questions. Different professionals may need to assess different parts before the overall proposal is ready for a decision.

04

Make the next decision deliberately

Review the remaining uncertainty before taking the next step. A consultation can organize the questions, but cannot guarantee an immigration outcome or the quality of an investment.

A LITTLE CLARITY GOES A LONG WAY.

The next step may be a better question for the employer, seller or adviser. Use the prompts to understand what you would be committing to before you decide to proceed.

BEFORE THE BIG MOVE

LET’S CLEAR
A FEW THINGS UP.

Should I book a consultation before paying a deposit?

An early conversation can help identify immigration questions connected to the proposal. Also arrange appropriate independent review of the commercial and contractual terms before relying on them. We do not assess investment returns or guarantee outcomes; bring a summary of the proposed commitment and the deadline rather than sending financial documents publicly.

The seller says the business is suitable for a visa. What should I ask?

Ask what that statement is based on and distinguish the seller’s commercial description from an independent immigration assessment of your circumstances. Record the ownership, operating role and proposed transaction in plain language. Neither a seller’s assurance nor a business label replaces the professional review needed before you rely on that claim.

What if an employer wants an answer quickly?

Share the actual response deadline and what the employer is asking you to accept. Clarify duties, location and any immigration support already discussed. We can help organize the outstanding questions, but cannot promise a result within the employer’s schedule. Ask the employer which terms or dates remain open to discussion.

Can you tell me whether an investment is financially sound?

Our planning conversation can identify immigration-related questions and where licensed U.S. attorney input may be needed. Financial suitability, valuation, tax and contract issues require the relevant independent advisers. Keep those reviews distinct so that an encouraging immigration discussion is not mistaken for an endorsement of the business or its projected returns.

What should go in writing before things move any further?

Ask for the actual terms, the true deadline and any conditions in a written form that can be checked later, rather than relying on a verbal summary from someone eager to close. Save each version as terms change, noting who sent it and when. A pattern of shifting language, pressure to skip a step or reluctance to put a claim in writing is itself useful information. Keep that record separate from any advice a consultation later provides.
