Which documents help check a claim about the status offered?

THE DIRECT ANSWER

Bring the written proposal, its cited official sources and any actual government notices already received.

Compare the words with the record

Ask counsel to distinguish an application receipt, petition action, visa step and evidence of permanent residence where relevant. A decorative card image or sales description cannot establish legal status. Keep the actual official records so employers and family members do not rely on an informal label that overstates what has occurred.

Every document here proves one narrow thing, and anything claimed beyond that is commentary. A receipt evidences a payment. A filing receipt evidences that something was submitted.

An approval notice evidences a decision on a specific request. Evidence of lawful permanent residence is a different record again, and none of the earlier ones stands in for it. Hypothetical example: an orthotics manufacturing owner circulates a payment confirmation to a landlord and a bank as proof of status, and neither institution is told that the document records a transaction rather than an immigration outcome.

Keep the official records in the form they were issued, and give employers and relatives the actual notice rather than a summary of it. A card image or sales description establishes nothing about anyone’s legal position. Institutions asking for proof should be asked in return which record they will accept, before anything is sent to them.
