Who pays for reviewing a project amendment?

THE DIRECT ANSWER

That depends on the offering and professional engagement terms. A project may supply revised documents, but independent legal, financial or economic analysis may involve additional costs beyond the original subscription and filing budget.

Clarify the requested work

Ask what the issuer will provide and what your own adviser must evaluate. Review whether new charges or capital requests alter the commercial arrangement and the immigration explanation. Verify the source and purpose of any additional payment.

Do not pay an unexplained amount based on a promise that it guarantees the petition or removes every consequence of the change. Costs move as the facts do. A review that began as reading an amendment becomes an analysis of revised job assumptions; an economist’s update is commissioned by the sponsor for the project, not for you; your own adviser’s work is separate again.

Hypothetical example: a clinical diagnostics laboratory project asks investors for an additional contribution described as protecting the original capital, and that request needs both financial and immigration review before anyone signs. Ask who is paying for which piece of analysis and whose interests each adviser represents. Verify the purpose and destination of any further payment.

No additional amount should be paid on an assurance that it secures the petition or cancels the consequences of the change.
