Separate government filing charges, professional fees, dependent processing and relocation from the company’s operating capital. L-1A is not an investment category with a universal purchase amount that buys eligibility.
Price the actual filing route
The government total depends on the filing type, employer circumstances and any optional premium-processing request. Check the current USCIS schedule and applicable consular charges when preparing the case. Ask for a written scope covering petition preparation, corporate evidence, family work and possible follow-up.
Premises, payroll and working capital belong in the business budget even when they also support the petition. Billing disputes on transfer files usually trace to an unnamed owner rather than an unexpected charge. Hypothetical example: A procurement consultancy expects its immigration provider to gather corporate evidence across several group entities, while the provider expects the client’s finance team to deliver it; the hours spent chasing records land on an invoice nobody anticipated.
Settle in writing who collects corporate documents, who drafts the support letter, who reviews it, who handles a request for further evidence, and who decides whether to request premium processing where it is available. Note also that the person who authorizes spending is rarely the person who knows what the case needs, so give the case owner a route to approve additional work quickly rather than through a monthly cycle.
